Once I lived in India where prayers in the mosque and temples were synchronized to the phases of the moon and daylight and darkness for a precise reason. My current life may not be as spectacular, but at least it has some highs – a great and supportive family, amazing neighbours, the freedom to meet up for a beer or a cup of coffee or a relaxing meal, a cat who loves to sit in my lap and sleep, and the time to read, write and enjoy music.
